I am a choral composer.

I am drawn to emotive religious texts and my influences would include Howells, Part, Tavener, Whitacre, and others. In my compositions I strive to elicit the emotive meaning of the text, as it seems to me, using a personal and usually mildly dissonant language in a conventional tonal fashion.

I am a strong believer in beauty in Art as a transformational force, one that can open our hearts to God's grace. I try in my work to fuse text, meaning and beauty.
